We collect the following information when you use Unswipe:

  • Account information (email, name)
  • Profile data (relationship type, separation date, children, financial situation)
  • Asset and liability data you enter (encrypted at rest)
  • Checklist and milestone progress
  • AI chat conversations
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)

2. How We Protect Your Data

Sensitive financial data (asset values, notes, strategy data) is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. This means even if our database were compromised, your financial information would remain encrypted and unreadable.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our database is hosted on AWS RDS with encryption at rest enabled.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Personalise your timeline and checklists
  • Calculate property settlement estimates
  • Provide contextual AI responses
  • Generate settlement reports
  • Process payments

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

You can delete your account at any time. When you do, all your data — including encrypted financial information — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic — AI chat responses (no personal data is stored by Anthropic)
  • AWS — hosting and infrastructure
  • Google — optional OAuth sign-in
